BELIZE ELECTRONIC PASSPORT
The new e-PICS system and e-Passports is more secure and will allow for efficient processing through modern border management systems. The e-passport includes an electronic chip to safeguard the user’s personal information and photograph as well as a verification feature for use at smart gates at international borders. It is a symbol of national pride for Belizeans and will establish a bond of trust between Belize and those countries processing entries.
We are now accepting all passport applications and processing biometrics where required!

Preparation to Apply
There is one application form to be used for both adults and minors and we have provided one checklist to assist you with the process.

- First Issue or Renewal of E-Passport
- Replacement of current Machine Readable Passport (MRP) passport with Electronic passport (E Passport) and/or
- Replacement of an Electronic Passport
- Replacement of lost/damaged passportGather the original documents as listed on your checklist.
- Get your passport photo.
- Ask any Belizean to be your recommender to sign your photo and application form.
- Complete your application.
- Make payment for the application. Click here for Passport Payment Instructions.
- Submit a copy of the completed application form online to the Belize High Commission along with copies of ALL supporting documents requested, including proof of payment so that we may ensure that you have all the required documentation prior to incurring expenses for travel to London. Incomplete applications cannot be processed.

Belize’s official language is English, and all documents provided MUST either be in English or be accompanied by a certified English translation of that document.

Submitting the Application in Person (Mandatory)
- Upon confirmation that your documents are in order you are now ready to submit your application in person and you will be notified to make an appointment to have your biometrics captured, in person at our office in London. Appointments are necessary and walk in’s will not be accepted.
- Bring all the originals of the required documents for verification when you come to the biometric appointment. Once your biometrics have been captured and we have all the required documents in hand, your application will be forwarded to the Department of Immigration and Nationality in Belize for final processing. This process may take up to 16 weeks from this point.
- When your new passport is returned to our office you will be notified for collection in person or by courier. Click here for Courier instructions for your documents.
